What is the Suave Cat Dance trend?

Updated · AI Dance Trend

It's a late-October 2026 TikTok format: three AI-generated kittens from the account @meowtakeover stand on their hind legs and dance in sync to "Suave" by El Alfa, the middle one, a white-and-grey kitten, in a black studded belt. A CapCut template and green-screen reposts spread it between October 29 and 31, and cat owners now make versions with their own cat in the lead.

Where do the kittens come from?

@meowtakeover is a TikTok account that posts AI videos of the same little gang of kittens dancing in the streets and on the beaches of Jeddah, a new song and routine each time. Its biggest clips have 9 to 14 million views each (counted on November 4, 2026), including "Gatitoshakito" from October 27, 2026, where the white-and-grey kitten in the studded belt dances upright on a beach at night while the other two watch.

The three-kittens-in-sync format itself is older: Know Your Meme traces it to a @meowtakeover video from June 28, 2026, set to "Spencer Hill Cool" by GFY1994, which passed 79.5 million views in about three weeks. The Suave Cat Dance is the latest song swap on those kittens, not a new set of characters.

How did "Suave" get attached?

Meme accounts cut the kittens out on a green screen and set them to new songs: two of them dancing to Najwa Farouk's "Khalouni N3ich" in September, four of them inside a Pizza Hut to "La Quemona 2" in early October. On October 29 a CapCut template called "Suave Cats Dance" appeared, and from October 31 reposts captioned "Three kittens from @meowtakeover are dancing to Suave by El Alfa and Chael Produciendo" spread across many repost accounts.

"Suave" is El Alfa's 2017 dembow track. A sped-up version went viral on TikTok in February 2022 with its own dance of shaking hips and shimmying shoulders, which is exactly the move the lead kitten does when it turns its back to the camera.
