What song is the Suave Cat Dance?
Updated · AI Dance Trend
It's "Suave" by the Dominican dembow artist El Alfa, credited on the reposts as El Alfa and Chael Produciendo. The music video came out in December 2017, and a sped-up version went viral on TikTok in February 2022 with a hip-shaking, shoulder-shimmying dance, which is why the kitten's turn-around hip shake fits it so well. Our videos come with an original dembow-style beat; add "Suave" in TikTok when you post.

Adding "Suave" in TikTok
- Open any Suave cat video in TikTok and tap the sound name at the bottom.
- Tap "Use this sound" and pick your downloaded video.
- Drag the sound so the hip shake (about 3 to 5.5 seconds into our video) lands on the drop, then turn the original audio down to zero.
- Add the AI-generated label and post.
Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Reels: add the video, tap the music note and search "Suave El Alfa". Business accounts may only see royalty-free music, and the catalog differs by country.
- Shorts: tap "Sound" and search the same name; if it isn't there, post with our beat.
- If the sped-up version isn't in your library, the original version works; trim it so the chorus starts on your cat's first sway.

Is the song in our videos?
No. Each video comes with an original, fast dembow-style beat with handclaps and no vocals, so you can post it as it is or swap in "Suave" inside the app, where the platform holds the music license.
