What is the Raindance AI trend?

Updated · AI Dance Trend

It's a TikTok edit that took off at the end of September 2026: a clip opens on an ordinary photo of someone, then hard-cuts on the bridge of Dave and Tems' song "Raindance" to that same person on a wooden pier at golden hour, singing softly into the camera, before pulling back to a wide shot of them on the pier edge. The pier scene borrows the opening of the song's music video, and AI makes it possible from one snapshot.

The beats of the edit

  1. An everyday photo: a selfie, a café shot, a mirror pic.
  2. Hard cut on the song's bridge to the same person on a weathered pier at golden hour, the sun right behind them.
  3. They sing softly into the lens and raise a hand to their chest.
  4. The camera pulls back: they sit alone on the edge of the pier as the sun touches the sea.

Why people love it

The contrast does the work: a boring photo becomes a music-video moment in one cut. It also flatters almost anyone, because golden-hour backlight is the most forgiving light there is. And pets are the funniest version: a cat "singing" at sunset is hard to scroll past.

One photo or two?

Some Raindance generators ask for two photos and make a duet. Ours makes the solo version from one photo; for a duet look, make one video of each person and put them side by side in CapCut.

Make your own

On AI Dance Trend you upload one front-facing photo and get a 10-second vertical edit: your photo, the hard cut to the pier, the close-up and the wide shot. It doesn't use the song, the music video or the artists' likeness; add the sound in TikTok when you post.
